An effective way to learn and more importantly remember new vocabulary is by learning phrases, not just words. Phrases are groups of words that go together. Another way to describe them are as natural chunks of language.
In any language, certain words naturally go together. It’s much easier to learn and remember these phrases as it is to learn each word individually. Especially when you memorize them as a group, which contains the same word. The word“eye” in this case.

Meaning: to notice something or to get someone’s attention by looking at them
Examples: There was one painting that caught my eye.

2) turn a blind eye (to smth/someone)
Meaning: to pretend you do not notice something, because you should do something about it but you do not want to.
Examples: We’re not supposed to park here, but the authorities usually turn a blind eye.
3) see eye to eye (with someone)
Meaning: to agree with someone, or to have the same opinion as them.
Examples: I don’t see eye to eye with my father on many things.
4) keep an eye (on someone)
Meaning: to look after someone or something.
